Life.....

Well since my last post 5 months ago - tons has happened - Nathan married Freya, Nats came to visit unexpectedly..... My house is a mess, I have tons to do ..... and I dont feel like doing any of it ... but I will. It is a rainy day today - I love the rain and normally that gets me wanting to do things - but not this time - My Aunty Toets and I used to walk to the Astra movie house every Saturday ...even in the rain - and sing "Rain drops keep falling on my head......... those were carefree good old days. Aunty Toets was a Kind uncomplicated soul - she made me feel special and always had time for me no matter what - She never had any children of her own but raised us like we were her own.

Once upon a time... I had a dream(actually a fortune teller told me when I was +- 12 years old)..... (and we know how accurate they can be) she was old and scary.... it was all just a joke but this is the real story.... We met at the theater restaurant where I belive our children intervened from above saying "hey look Mom there is a really cute guy with a great afro and reallllly good legs" and they went on to Dad saying " look Dad there is a chick you could dig" I remember our 1st date -... getting dressed in the best I had - Basil Kinsella and Bryn came to pick us up in a car - and dont ask me what it was - as you all know I dont know the difference between a Toyota and a Corrola ( never mind the spelling) Anyway on the bridge or actually half way up the bridge going towards Buren street which is also towards Flamingo Park ... I cant remember the street name .... the car got stuck/ran out of petrol... whatever.....I dont know but we all got out and pushed the car towards the petrol station .... that was the start of 30 years with the man of my dreams I adore him like I did back then and sometimes could not believe that he felt the same way about me.... He just seemed to good to be true - so .... I got a picture of him from his Mom which I slept with under my pillow for months .... I cant believe this, seeing that picture again brought back all the love and fun feelings had felt from 30 years ago and the music that had me dreaming of what could be... Sunny by Boney M , Daddy Cool, Chicargo, Eagles Bread and many more......and here it is ........

This is a first for me - Away from home in a new country has me spending tons of time on the computer looking at old and new photos - so i decided to start (after Nats and Gem started theirs) a "Blog" with the memories of People, Places, Things, stories, events..... and all that has made our lives what they are today. I have lots to learn but it will be fun - Still need to find out how to add music and pictures ... but i'll leave that for another day..... This took me six hours to do - That was six weeks ago....

Nats added some music for me - I should not have been surprised but it has made me happy and a bit sad because of the distance between us to know that she knows me so well - she chose the music for me. Nats, there is no better friend than a daughter and no daughter quite like you ... I miss you so much....

What has made my world go round........ besides Bryn and children Nats/Cuen, Warren/Kristy, Nathan/? and Gavin/Gemma we have the most Beautiful Grandchildren in the universe(we are proud to be their Grandma and Grandpa Bryn) - Reece, Emma, Caibryn and Troy and......................those that have been watching and waiting patiently in Heaven.
I love the Gospel and all that it has done for my family - the people that have been kind to my children when no one cared or was watching - for friends that would stand by me no matter what - for music that brings back memories happy and sad - for family not forgotten - for beautiful buildings and birds and water that reminds me of how much God loves us and how many times I have been reminded of where I come from and where I am going if I do what is right. And dont forget the flowers even the tiny ones - and the blue rabbits that no one believes I saw....... this is my story ........
